EWG, Environmental Working Group, rates the safety and efficacy of sunscreens and other products with SPF. They reviewed more than 1300 sunscreens in the USA. They are not always safe, contain harmful chemicals or claim to have crazy high misleading SPF ratings. Their list recommends products that provide long lasting, broad spectrum protection with ingredients that pose fewer health concerns. ☀️
1. SUNSCREEN SHOULD BE THE LAST RESORT ☀️
Wear clothes: shirts, hats, shorts, pants. Shield your skin from the sun’s UV ray.
2. PLAN AROUND THE SUN⛅️
Go outdoors in early morning or late afternoon , when the sun is lower in the sky.
3. FIND SHADE OR MAKE IT ☂️⛱
Find a tree or take a canopy or umbrella when you go to the pool or the beach.
4. SUNGLASSES ARE ESSENTIAL
