One of the happiest day of my swimming life, sharing the feeling and magic of the water with one my swimmers and now friend, she started when she was 2-3 years old, with her strong and stubborn personality, very girly and happy under water. Few years later she came back to assist me and support during his little brother swimming lesson, while she was improving her swimming skills, now more mature and a dedicated and disciplined gymnastic, always tumbling and showing me her talent and excellent performance at this demanding sport while we were having fun and sharing the feeling of gliding in the pool and feeling the water, then few years later she came back with her little sister for her swing lessons and I got the proud feeling of knowing she was now part of a swimming team and she was doing very well besides being happy having this sport as part of her daily life . Even if she switches sports , swimming will part of the rest of her life, always knowing that she can come back at any time and feel the magic of the water.
For me teaching others how to swim, is the first step to know and visit the under water world and a safe and fun way, first swimming , then snorkeling , maybe swim team, water polo, and finally scuba diving. Learning and knowing what lives underwater we will have more desire and understanding why we should care and protect the aquatic life and Mia is one proud result of these ideal, because she is also a avid and happy scuba diver, passion that shares with her dad, and hope one day I will go scuba diving with her.
